Master of the Tenor Banjo
The banjo plays happy music, and in the hands of Charlie Tagawa the music is both happy and beautiful. Charlie has been playing banjo for many years. He is well known throughout the United States and Japan. He has played in the San Francisco bay area for over thirty years at Earthquake McGoon's, The Red Garter, Sakura Gardens, Imperial Gardens and many other public and private venues.
Charlie was inducted into the National Four-string Banjo Hall of Fame in 2003.
When Charlie entertains everyone enjoys!
He has trained some of the best four string players around, and is available to teach both beginners and experienced banjo players.
He has led the Peninsula Banjo Band, known throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, for over forty years, and many of the members are Charlie's students.
